In the last article, we reported about the gas chamber.
We appreciate all responses we had received and hope people would understand that lots of animals are dying in pain.

In the interview with the shelter worker, he said something that rang a bell inside of me…something everybody should know about.

In the week of “love the animals”, we usually get offers from the medias that promote saving poor dogs and cats. After this promotion, we usually receive tons of complaints and become a target of criticism. People would call us “the animal murderer”. However, people will not come here to see the animals and adopt. We just have to keep killing these animals…This is the reality. It’s good thing that you feel bad about the dying animals. But too many people are just pretending because feeling sorry for these animals make them feel good about themselves.

It sounds very hush but what he said is the truth.
We published the tape to make those irresponsible owners to face the truth…but nothing will change if they just feel sorry and do nothing about it.

He wanted us to really understand what people can do.
“Stop eating meats or not buying leather goods is not what I’m talking about. It’s just self-satisfaction.
If you have a dog or cat, I want you to take your animal to the vet. and have spayed or neutered. The cats mating season is twice in a year and each cat will have 5 kittens. Kittens only need 6 months to be ready for mating…the number of cats can increase a lot very quickly. If you can stop them from reproducing, it will make a difference of the number of cats being in the gas chambers. It’s just irresponsible that you allow your cat to run around without being spayed or neutered. You can do the same for the dogs, too. Even if you don’t own any pet but know someone that does, please let them know about spaying and neutering….This is what you can do and make a huge difference.
It is very easy to just say “SORRY” and to be “AGAINST KILLING”. These words mean nothing if you don’t do anything about it and if you don’t know the truth.”

Not many people know about this yet but the mark is the proof of spaying or neutering.
The cost of spaying or neutering will be around 20,000 yen.
“It’s more important to have stray cats spayed or neutered than feeding them.” (the shelter worker)

What can we do to help animals from dying in the gas chamber?

It won’t change anything if you just feel sorry for them------these words sink into us deeply.

Having pets

There are many reasons to have pets.
Please have them until the end. Please take good care of them with great responsibility.

If for any reason you have to give up your pet…even if it means death to him….please stay as long as you can to be with him. Please don’t bring your pet to the shelter and let him die alone. Please be the pet’s owner until the very end.
Please give your pet some respect. He definitely deserves it.

Even though their life span is around 15 years, they are a living breathing form of life.

It’s not always a happy-ending…
